I think it will take a couple more episodes before I decide if I like it or not. The video quality is great, but I find the photographic and 3D’ish backgrounds a bit overwhelming. It seems quite out of place with the rather plain animated characters. I watched Antique Cake Shop and that too uses similar techniques. I’m not a fan of that show for other reasons though [Yuri I like, Yaoi I don't]
I don’t understand why you release both the SD and the HD in H264 and mkv. My player isn’t able to play mkv. I always thought that fansubber release two versions because there are some people who watch anime on the pc and want HD(H264 and .mkv) and there also are some who watch anime on the dvd-player and want SD (DivX and .avi). Is there any special reason behind how you do it?
@RiBo
1. The quality is better
2. SD is for people who can’t play the HD, like if they’re computers are actually too slow.
3. Having them in MKV, allows me to release v2 scripts if needed.
4. If you really want XVID, you could always re-encode my copies for whatever your player requires.
5. XVID ruins quality, period.
Nice, heartful and slow devloping show with very good animations (for the 1st episode so far). I’m glad you picked that series up, it seems promising. It doesn’t have to be “OMG OVER 9000 MECHA OVERKILL NINJA GANGBANG, etc” everytime, I like and support your choice for something completely different. Variety spices up one’s life. I also like your work on Nabari No Ou and archiving your releases. Same will go for Mahou Tsukai now. Let the haters do their job, you still get my vote for being original & a quality subber. Keep up the good work!
@RiBo your player is unable to play mkv files…have you tried CCCP? If so then is it your computer that is holding your back? mkv files are truly superior in many many ways. If you do not have CCCP I recommend googling and checking it out. It could help you out.
